Don't Women wear trousers anymore?

No.......Trousers, slacks, lined or linen...."the pant" has been replace, at least for this season, by the legging. It doesn't matter your age or your size the leggings is where its at. There are stirrup leggings in basic black, as well as full length or capri. They come with buttons, pull strings and zippers. There are leggings in animal print, lace, denim and velvet. They come high waist, low waist and double stitched taped waists.

Free people, french connection, bp, bobi, j cooper, kensie, bcbg, bcbg generation, DKNYC, Kenneth Cole, Jones New York, WDNY and Romeo/Juliet just to name a few are brands that carry them. See these cover our favorite designer so no matter what our age they have them for you. So don't even suggest that you are too old or to ilshaped to wear them.

But you ask "What do we wear them with" The best look is a long t-shirt (long or short sleevea), cardigan or over the head sweater, a long t-shirt covered by a cool short jacket, or a long button down shirt with an open vest. I love tunics. All ages look hot with "short dresses" or now they are called "tunics" go beautifully over solid colored leggings.

A few key cautions however:

If you are older than 16 COVER YOUR BUM.........I don't care if you are Twiggy, you must cover the seat of those pants. No one wants to see visible or thong lines whilst your wearing your leggings.

Reserve the leather, velvet and animal prints to those on the younger side...Unless you are daring and young at heart, keep it to basic solid colors on top if you're going to wear those Mondrian inspired french connection color blocked ones.

So bottom line if you can't beat them join them. There is a way to wear it no matter who you are.

Finally, throw on your Prada, Calvin , Franco, Frye, Ugg or Stuart Weitzman boots and you'll look hot and stay warm for the fall/winter seasons.
